Kenya's Masai Mara is one of the best places to see the wild life that makes Africa special. The expanse of the grasslands will hold you in awe! Nowhere in Africa is the wildlife so abundant.
Day 1 - Arrival at Nairobi.
You shall fly into Nairobi. Night stay at a hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2 - Travel to Masai Mara and evening safari.
We head to the Masai Mara - home to the prides of lions, elusive leopards, herds of elephants and other amazing flora and fauna. The night stay is at an eco camp with basic but comfortable accommodation with ensuite bathrooms and showers.
Day 3, 4 and 5 - Full Day Safaris
Masai Mara is one of the few places in the world where one can still find wildlife in an abundance that was found a century ago.
For three more days, we shall go on full day safaris in a safari vehicle with a pop out roof, ideal for safari. No more than 6 people per safari vehicle for a great safari experience.
Day 6 - Head to Lake Nakuru
Many years ago, Lake Nakuru was where thousands of flamingoes used to nest. While most flamingoes have moved to other lakes, its still special for rhinos and leopard sightings and it's resident population of flamingoes. We shall arrive at lake Nakuru in the afternoon and have a nice lunch at an amazing camp setup at the top of a hill. In the evening we shall head to the Nakuru national park for an evening safari.
Day 7 - Head back to Nairobi.
After one more early morning safari at Nakuru National park, we shall head to Lake Navaisha for a boat Safari. After lunch at a local restaurant, we shall head to Nairobi. Night at Nairobi.
Day 8 - Departure from Nairobi
You can catch your flight back home or head to your next destination in Africa.
The Experience
The accommodation is not luxurious but still comfortable. Most days it's thatched cottages with ensuite bathrooms.
What kind of vehicle are we going to use for the safaris?
We are going to be using 4X4 Land Cruisers with maximum 6 people other than driver/guide. Each person shall have a window seat.
What about the safari experience?
We understand that the wildlife safari experience is heavily dependent on the guide. So we have arranged the safaris with excellent safari guides.
What all is included/excluded?
Included:
All accommodation including a night at Nairobi before and after. All accommodation is with ensuite bathrooms except the camp in Nakuru.
All meals starting with dinner on day 1 and dinner on day 7.
Park fees.
4 X 4 Safari vehicle with a pop up roof for game drives.
All transportation starting from lodge in Nairobi and back to lodge in Nairobi.
All Taxes/VAT
Excluded:
Tips (tipping guideline US$10.00 pp per day).
Any meals should you choose to have them at another restaurant, any entree, appetizer, drink etc. ordered that is not included as part of set meal or buffet. Alcoholic beverages.
Airport transfer to and from the Nairobi lodge.
Personal items like souvenirs, travel insurance, visa fees, etc.
